Pregnancy Due Date Calculator

Estimate your baby’s arrival and track your journey week by week

Find your estimated due date and see exactly how many weeks pregnant you are, then book the right scan for your stage.

The five ways to estimate your due date

Last period (LMP)

The most common method. Enter the first day of your last period and your cycle length.

Conception date

If you tracked ovulation, the tool counts forward 38 weeks from conception.

Ultrasound scan

A first-trimester dating scan is the most accurate way to estimate your due date.

IVF transfer

Calculated from the transfer date, adjusted for 3-day or 5-day embryo transfer.

Known due date

Already have a date from your doctor? See your current week and key milestones.

How many weeks pregnant am I?

Pregnancy is measured in weeks from the first day of your last period and is split into three trimesters. Full term is considered 39 to 40 weeks, and babies arriving from 37 weeks are still considered term.

Trimester Weeks What is happening
First 1 – 13 Major organs form. First scan and booking visit.
Second 14 – 27 The anomaly scan is usually done around weeks 18 to 22.
Third 28 – 40 Baby gains weight. Delivery planning begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

A due date calculator gives a reliable estimate, but it is not exact. Only around 1 in 20 babies are born on their due date. A first-trimester dating scan gives the most accurate estimate, and your doctor may revise the date after it.

Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last menstrual period, not from conception. This is why you are considered about two weeks pregnant at the point of conception.

Use the ultrasound method. A dating scan in the first trimester estimates your due date without needing your last period date. The calculator can work from the scan date and the weeks measured.

For IVF, the due date is based on the embryo transfer date. The calculation differs for a 3-day (cleavage) transfer and a 5-day (blastocyst) transfer, and the tool adjusts for both.

Count from the first day of your last period to today. The calculator does this for you and also shows your trimester and estimated due date.

Yes. An early dating scan often gives a more accurate date than the last period, so your doctor may adjust it. Later in pregnancy, the date is rarely changed.

The anomaly scan is usually carried out between 18 and 22 weeks to check your baby’s growth and development. You can book yours at Anandi Hospitals.
